A god, believed to be El, "father of the gods and of man," from a stele found at Ugarit, northern coastal Syria, ca. 13th century BCE. The Horns on his helmet identify him as a god. El was also called "Bull-El" and his children, Baal and Anat could assume the forms of bovines to mate with each other. No doubt, "Bull-El" could also asume a bovine form as well. A priest administers before the seated god. In the background is a winged sun-disk, a form of the Egyptian god "Horus of Behdety" (cf. p. 18. figure 1. Tim Callahan. Secret Origins of the Bible.
